Sitting at a sculptural version of the map (on a table in the black-painted room), the director moved his fingers on the model in front of him. In response to his fingers, an area of the map was high-lighted, as if bright lights had been turned on, spotlighting the dusty Thecity streets in that area.
"This is the way to exit Thecity from where you are now", he said. He looked at her with dark brown eyes as his fingers moved on the map. A blue line appeared -- leading from the building where she now stood -- to the Northeast exit from Thecity. Clara memorized the details.
